Drug Class and MechanismYohimbine-1200, an alkaloid, is the primary active ingredient of yohimbe. Research shows it is a vasodilator, which means that it increases blood flow to the extremities and appendages. In other words, it can also increase the sex drive (libido) in men and in women. In addition (as if that wasn't enough), yohimbe has also been shown to help maintain healthy arteries. Not only does Yohimbine-1200 help men with sexual performance, and increase libido but yohimbe also has been shown to decrease fat synthesis in the body by increasing fatty acid mobilization.
